Chris the “Crow”

Crows are one of the best known birds in South Australia.

A history of swooping and squawking at those who annoy her she’s one of the toughest and most feared birds in Adelaide. Whilst scaring many she also attracts our population with her shiny feathers combined with her style and strength.

Whether your an Adelaide AFL supporter, or a fan of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” this knife is the one we know you’ve been craving.

Sitting in the tree so high,
With eyes so dark and keen.
Watching down with curiosity,
Taking in all they’ve seen.

Their coal black feathers gleam so bright,
Against the sky so blue.
Always observing with such sight,
Gathering clues anew.

Intelligent beasts of feather and beak,
Solving puzzles each day.
Never content to sit and peek,
Always finding new ways.

When danger threatens their domain,
Their caws serve as a call.
To rally friends without strain,
Bonding them one and all.

Crafty crow, sharp as can be,
Ruler of sky with clever fey.
Watching and learning constantly,
Through each lively crow day.

Maintenance

A very good question. Here’s a short answer.

What not to do?

DO NOT put it in the dishwasher or leave it in a sink full of water as this can lead to corrosion and damaged blades. We also recommend against cutting on a glass chopping board as this is terrible for the blade (can lead to chipping), and please DO NOT use Pull Through Sharpeners.

What to do?

Learn how to use a honing rod to keep the knifes edge aligned and keep it sharper longer.

I recommend having it sharpened by a professional sharpener (ideally on a whetstone or a watercooled system to stop the steel heating). How often varies depending on usage however most people do it every 6-12 months.

Storage?-Please store your knives either on a wall magnet or in a knife block, if you are going to store them in the drawers please use edge gurads.
